Insulation mortar is a premixed dry mortar made of various lightweight materials as aggregates, cement as cementing material, mixed with some modified additives, and stirred and mixed by the manufacturer. It is a building material used to construct the insulation layer of the building surface. The inorganic insulation mortar material insulation system is fireproof and non-combustible. It can be widely used in dense residential buildings, public buildings,  flammable and explosive places, and places with strict fire prevention requirements. It can also be used as a fire isolation zone to improve the fire prevention standards of buildings.

External insulation system mortar property and feature

Performance characteristics: 1. Inorganic insulation mortar has excellent temperature stability and chemical stability: the inorganic insulation mortar material insulation system is made of pure inorganic materials. Acid and alkali resistant, corrosion resistant, no cracking, no falling off, high stability, no aging problems, and the same lifespan as the building wall.

2. Simple construction and low comprehensive cost: The inorganic insulation mortar material insulation system can be directly applied to the rough wall, and its construction method is the same as the cement mortar leveling layer. The machinery and tools used in this product are simple. Convenient construction, compared with other insulation systems, it has obvious advantages of short construction period and easy quality control.

3. Wide range of applications, preventing the generation of cold and hot bridges: The inorganic insulation mortar material insulation system is suitable for the insulation of various wall base materials and walls of various complex shapes. Fully enclosed, seamless, cavity-free, no cold and hot bridges. And not only can it be used for external wall insulation, but also for internal wall insulation, or for both internal and external insulation of the exterior wall, as well as roof insulation and geothermal insulation, providing certain flexibility for the design of energy-saving systems.

4. Environmentally friendly and pollution-free: The inorganic insulation mortar material insulation system is non-toxic, odorless, and has no radioactive pollution. It is harmless to the environment and human body. At the same time, its large-scale promotion and use can utilize some industrial waste slag and low-grade building materials, and has good comprehensive utilization of environmental protection benefits.

5. High strength: The inorganic insulation mortar material insulation system has high bonding strength with the base layer, and is not easy to produce cracks and hollows. This has certain technical advantages compared with all domestic insulation materials.

6. Good fireproof and flame retardant safety, users can rest assured: the inorganic thermal insulation mortar material insulation system is fireproof and non-combustible. It can be widely used in dense residential buildings, public buildings, large public places, flammable and explosive places, and places with strict fire prevention requirements. It can also be used as a fire isolation belt construction to improve the fire prevention standards of buildings.

7. Good thermal performance: The thermal storage performance of the inorganic thermal insulation mortar material insulation system is much greater than that of organic thermal insulation materials, and can be used for summer insulation in the south. At the same time, the thermal conductivity of the construction with sufficient thickness can reach below 0.07W/m.K, and the thermal conductivity can be easily adjusted to meet the needs of mechanical strength and the requirements of actual use functions. It can be used in different occasions, such as the ground, ceiling, etc.

8. Good mildew-proof effect: It can prevent the energy conduction of cold and hot bridges and prevent mildew spots caused by condensation indoors.

9. Good economy If the inorganic thermal insulation mortar material insulation system with appropriate formula is used to replace the traditional indoor and outdoor double-sided construction, the optimal solution of technical performance and economic performance can be achieved.

10. Pre-mixed and dry-mixed redispersible polymer powder, inorganic gelling material, high-quality orthopedic and auxiliary agents with water retention, reinforcement, thixotropy, crack resistance and other functions.

11. Good adhesion to a variety of thermal insulation materials.

12. Good flexibility, water resistance, and weather resistance; low thermal conductivity, stable thermal insulation performance, high softening coefficient, freeze-thaw resistance, and aging resistance. 13. Directly add water on site for mixing and use, which is convenient for operation; good air permeability and strong breathing function, it has good waterproof function and can discharge moisture from the thermal insulation layer. 14. The overall cost is relatively low. 15. Excellent thermal insulation performance.

Construction method:

  1. The surface of the base layer should be free of dust, oil and debris that affect the bonding performance.
  2. On hot days or when the base layer is dry, it can be moistened with water when the base layer absorbs a lot of water, so that the base layer is wet inside and dry outside, and there is no visible water on the surface.
  3. Mix the special interface agent for the thermal insulation system according to the water-cement ratio of 1:4-5, apply it on the base layer, and pull it into a serrated shape with a thickness of about 3mm, or spray it.
  4. Mix the thermal insulation mortar into a slurry according to the ratio of glue powder: polystyrene particles: water = 1:0.08:1. It should be stirred evenly without powder lumps.
  5. Apply the thermal insulation mortar according to the energy-saving requirements. Construction should be carried out in batches for more than 2cm. The interval between two coats of plastering should be more than 24 hours. Spraying can also be used.
  6. Apply the anti-cracking mortar on the thermal insulation mortar with a thickness of 2mm.
  7. Hang anti-alkali mesh cloth on the anti-crack mortar
  8. Finally, apply 2~3 mm thick anti-crack mortar on the anti-alkali mesh cloth again

9. After the protective layer is completed, maintain it for 2-3 days (depending on the temperature) and then proceed with the subsequent finishing layer construction
