New Energy Vehicle Smart Ev Charging Precautions

Currently, there are a total of slow charging, fast charging, power exchange, wireless charging and mobile charging for electric vehicles, but the vast majority of electric vehicles on the market only support slow charging and fast charging, and are equipped with slow charging and fast charging interfaces

At present, the charging methods of electric vehicles include slow charging, fast charging, power exchange, wireless charging and mobile charging, but the vast majority of electric vehicles on the market only support slow charging and fast charging and are equipped with slow charging and fast charging interfaces, while other charging methods have not yet been popularized and applied.
1, slow charging (conventional charging, vehicle charging) for vehicle chargers and home wall-mounted charging piles, its current and power is relatively small, the general charging time takes 6-8 hours.

2, fast charging (ground charging, emergency charging) including charging station and mobile charging car in two forms, mainly through the non-vehicle charger using high current to the battery direct charging, so that the battery can be charged in a short period of time to about 80% of the power, generally 1 hour can be fully charged.

3, power exchange is used to replace the power battery to the car battery charging, in the power battery power depletion, with fully charged batteries to replace the battery pack power is too low, the replacement of the battery will be sent to the power station slow charging charging.

4, wireless charging is in the case of not using wires and cables, through embedded in the road and parking space of the wireless charging power board automatically connected to the power grid for charging and discharging. This charging method is convenient and safe to use, but it is not used in mass production for the time being.

5, mobile charging (MAC) is an extension of wireless charging, car owners do not need to find a charging station, spend time to charge, can be charged while cruising on the road. The mobile charging system will be buried in a section of road surface under the charging section, without additional space.
Does fast charging drain the battery?

It stands to reason that frequent fast charging compared to slow charging will take a toll on the battery. After all, fast charging uses a current several or even ten times higher than the standard charging current, and in fast charging mode, when the battery is charged to about 80%, the subsequent charge will be filled up in the form of slow charging.

If the frequent use of fast charging, it will accelerate the polarization of the battery core, resulting in lithium precipitation, lithium precipitation process, lithium ions will be reduced, ultimately leading to a decline in battery capacity, the impact on battery life. However, in addition to lithium iron phosphate batteries, fast charging allows the battery to rest for a short period of time, the lithium metal will revert back to lithium ions, the critical temperature will return to normal values. However, frequent fast charging will still diminish the battery's restoring ability. Therefore, in order to ensure that the electric vehicle better address the range, car owners can choose to “daily slow charging, emergency fast charging” practice, or once a week slow charging to replenish.
