On May 29, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment held its May regular press conference, in which spokesperson Pei Xiaofei introduced that recently, the Ministry has released the "Progress Report on China's Adaptation to Climate Change (2023)" (hereinafter referred to as "the Report"). Climate change is a common challenge faced by all humanity, and as the largest developing country most vulnerable to the negative impacts of climate change, proactively adapting to climate change is a current and urgent task for China.
The Report comprehensively summarizes the national adaptation strategy for climate change from six aspects, including the policy system for adaptation to climate change, climate change monitoring and early warning, risk management, natural ecosystems, economic and social systems, regional layout, and the construction of the guarantee mechanism.
