BUCHAREST, Romania - United Energy Group has recently achieved a significant feat with the successful signing of the equity acquisition agreement for the Oltenita photovoltaic project in Bucharest.

The Oltenita photovoltaic project, situated in the southernmost tip of Romania, enjoys prime sunlight conditions and stands as one of the crucial regions for solar energy exploitation in the nation. The signing ceremony was graced by prominent guests, including Mr. Milaita Besteac, the Mayor of Oltenita, and Dragan Florin from the grid company. Mr. Hu Yan Tao, General Manager of United Energy Group's Clean Energy Division, inked the agreement on behalf of the company. Members of the company's project development, technology, and legal teams were also in attendance.

This acquisition follows a string of previous projects by United Energy. In 2017, it completed the 99MW wind power project in Jimpur, Pakistan. In 2021, a 2.5MW PV project in Iraq was added to its portfolio. Earlier in 2024, the acquisition of Bulgaria's Poly-Sime 250MW PV project took place. This latest successful acquisition represents yet another major milestone in United Energy's global green energy strategy. Looking ahead, United Energy is set to persistently adhere to the low-carbon development trend, all the while augmenting its technological prowess and investment in clean energy on a global scale.
