Main component in plating solution

It is detected that the main component in the plating solution is the metal salt of the plating layer, without which the required metal plating layer cannot be plated at all, and therefore it is called the main salt. The main salt is the symbol that distinguishes different processes of the same type of plating, and one of the marvels of electroplating is that the same type of plating can be obtained from a variety of plating solutions with different main salts.
Since the stability of different salts in solution is related to the pH value, plating solutions can be categorized as acidic or alkaline because of the different main salts. When some metal salts cannot be dissolved in simple salt solution or their simple salt solution cannot produce qualified metal plating layer, it is necessary to use overlapping complexing agent to dissolve the metal salts and control the speed of deposition.
When copper sulfate is used as the main salt to prepare copper plating solution, this copper plating process is called sulfate copper plating. There are also pyrophosphate copper plating, citrate copper plating, fluoroborate copper plating and so on. The use of zinc sulfate as the main salt formulated into a galvanizing solution, called sulfate galvanizing. If zinc chloride is used as the main salt to formulate galvanizing solution, it is called chloride galvanizing, and when zinc oxide and sodium hydroxide are used to formulate alkaline galvanizing solution, it is called zincate galvanizing.
